Working to bring community members, tribal & government agencies together to protect, restore, and enhance natural resources in the Umatilla Basin
The Umatilla Basin Watershed Council was first formed in 1997 by a State of Oregon initiative that supported the local efforts of passionate founders who called the Umatilla Basin home. This concerned citizen group included a diverse group of individuals who came together with the dream of protecting and enhancing the Umatilla Basins natural resources for all future generations of Oregonians, and their beloved plant, fish, and wildlife species.
The Umatilla Basin Watershed Council depends on our dedicated staff, board of directors, community volunteers, and our diverse background of partners in order to achieve our mission.
